When I started this newsletter, I chose the name The Pastor’s Confessional to reflect my heart to share openly about the gifts, challenges, and lessons of ministry life. But over time, I’ve continued to feel drawn toward creating a place for practical tools, spiritual encouragement, and thoughtful reflections for ministry leaders and Christians alike.
Now, I’m excited to announce the next chapter of this newsletter.
Why the Change?
While I’ve loved sharing insights under the name The Pastor’s Confessional, the new name, Living the Call, reflects a broader mission:
• To equip you to thrive in your calling, whether leading a church, a family, or simply walking faithfully with Jesus.
• To offer practical tools and spiritual insights that meet you in the pressures of leadership and life.
Starting next week, the newsletter will officially transition to Living the Call!
What’s Staying the Same?
• Thoughtful biblical reflections.
• Leadership strategies for ministry and life.
• Encouragement to lead and live well.
“What’s Coming Next?”
With Living the Call, you’ll continue to receive the same great content, but now with even more resources and focus to help you navigate leadership, relationships, and discipleship with confidence.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on the new name! Reply and let me know what you think. I read every response.

P.S. The first edition of Living the Call launches next week. Stay tuned!
The power of that name change is massive... God bless you!
Hi Pastor Nathan. I love the new title of your blog. I think it is broader and will reach a wider variety of people -- both clergy and laypeople. We all need to encourage each other. Amen!
